My hope to have the internet up and running in a couple days has hit a major roadblock! It turns out that the former owner of our home cut the phone lines to the street, and we have to get AT&T out here to establish a phone line connection again before we can set up our wireless network. Gotta love foreclosures! We are just grateful that the phone line is the only thing the disgruntled owner took a metaphoric wrecking ball to. (We got the scoop on the previous owners, by the way, and it turns out that this was a second home, so now I don't feel nearly as bad for capitalizing on someone else's misfortune. Just a little guilty...)
We have an appointment with AT&T for tomorrow, but it's just the outside line guy, so who knows if that will fix the problem. If it doesn't, we have to call an inside line guy, which wouldn't happen until Friday. I have been 5 days without real internet, and I am starting to get technology island fever. Please keep your fingers crossed that our internet woes disappear by the weekend so I can share some pics and get posting again!
